Gladiator is a slot by software developer Playtech that has been based entirely on the film with the same title. And those who enjoyed that movie, will probably also enjoy the video slot. How to play Gladiator?

This slot is, like most other Playtech slots, easy to configure and easy to play. You can easily alter your bet and you can choose to make use of the gamble feature. When the reels are spinning, there will be some standard sound effects. Once a win forms, however, the film-related sound effects kick in. Extra features on Gladiator

Even though this slot has a simple layout, it does have two features: the Gladiator bonus and the Colosseum bonus. The bonus symbol that triggers the Gladiator bonus is the well-known mask Maximus wears in the movie. When this symbol lands on reels 2, 3, and 4, you will enter the Gladiator bonus feature. Here, you will be shown a selection of helmets, of which you get to pick a few. Underneath the helmets, you will find different prizes.

The other bonus game can only get triggered when at least three scatter symbols show up on your reels. In this Colosseum bonus, you have to make a few picks. And these choices determine the number of free spins you receive and the types of wild symbols that will come along with them. A great feature, as this feature means that you are partially responsible for your own potential wins. Still, you have no influence on what goes on on your reels, of course. During free spins, the Emperor on the third reel entitles you to three additional free spins.

Jackpot or no jackpot on Gladiator

There are two versions of this game and one of them has a jackpot while the other doesn’t. So, it’s up to you which version you want to play. Of course, presumably, the jackpot slot will be more exciting. But if that is not what you’re looking for, you still cannot go wrong with the jackpot-less version of Gladiator.
